Chloe--02/06/2007-03/22/07
We lost Chloe because of a heart murmur. It was diagnosed during her six week check up. The vet just said that she might need medicine as she gets older. Two days later she went downhill very quickly. Having her euthanized was one of the hardest things I eve had to do. I held her as she slipped away. Chloe was adorable and irreplacable.
Wendy--04/01/2008-05/14/2008
We lost Wendy when she aspirated food into her lungs. I noticed when she was eating that she appeared to be choking. I was unsuccessful in helping her and rushed her to the vet. The vet gave her time to see if she could resolve this herself. When this was not the case, they used a small tube to try to push the tube down her throat. When this did not help either, it was realized that she probably aspirated food into her lungs and their was nothing they could do for her. I was shocked and devastated to learn there was nothing they could do for her. I kissed her and she died a short hours later. Wendy was very sweet and will be missed.
Night-Night--September 21, 2007-July 24, 2008
Night-Night is a littermate of Reba's. Night-Night and their other sister, Nia, had made their home with a friend of mine, Josie. While it is unknown how or when, apparently Night-Night hit her head while playing. Her skull was cracked and she began a series of fifteen seizures. There was nothing the vet could do for her and she was euthanized. While I too am saddened by the loss, my heart goes out to Josie, her family, and Night-Night's sister, Nia, who will all miss her dearly.

Maddox--August 30, 2008-October 16, 2008
Maddox was fathered by Shade to a fellow breeder's dog. As you can see by his picture he was beautiful and quickly became a favorite of the breeder. He left us prematurely as a result of an accidental head injury while playing with his siblings. He will be missed by Melony and by the family who never even had a chance to take him home.
Calypso--March 29, 2008-March 24, 2009
Calypso is the daughter of Princess and Shade. She was the first blue puppy born here at Chihuahua Express. Here Calypso is pictured at two weeks of age. When she was eight weeks old, she went to make her home with a friend of mine. About a year later, Calypso suddenly became sick and sadly died. When I heard, I was just as devastated as her family. She was beautiful, sweet, and tiny.
Princess--August 22, 2005-May 1, 2009
Princess' death was both sudden and tragic. One day I noticed her appetite was a little off, so I offered her some canned food mixed with her dry. There were no other symptoms. The next morning just minutes after I held her after she went to the potty, she was gone. She was one week away from having her puppies. This is the first time we have lost one of our adults. Princess was part of our family for three and a half years and will be missed, particularly by my daughter Rebecca who received her as a gift from her parents.
